Designing with Native Plants

Good Morning Eureka!! Lissa Morrison will be presenting this Saturday, August 27th, Eureka Springs Community Center! Her presentation is titled “Digging Deeper: Landscaping with Natives.” Her description of the class is as follows:

As people transition to using more native plants in their landscapes, they often feel unsure of how to proceed. Lissa Morrison has been presenting for several years urging people to landscape with natives. This presentation will cover the “how to” for creating new beds, remodeling existing beds, adding more natives without adding more work, and tips for native plant maintenance. To support our native wildlife, we need to move away from the highly manicured and perfect look. However, messy and wild is often not appropriate for many settings. Lissa hope to offer her expertise for taming the wild and creating beautiful landscapes that still support healthy habitats.

The presentation will begin at 11:00am in the Community Meeting Room at the Eureka Springs Community Center! This room is in the building next to the greenhouse and the entrance is very near to the greenhouse.
